Falling In Love

YOU have to let yourself fall, but fall into what?

Whether it’s for a physical love or a divine experience, you open yourself to a sense of being at one with divine love and glory. Let your guard down, weaken your stronghold on life a bit. Relax. It’s not wrong, or strong, not to, just unhelpful.

Consider oneness with the Divine and glory as a state of being, rather than knowledge to attain.

Glory

resplendent beauty or magnificence

To be in a state of resplendent beauty or magnificence sounds divine, right?

Slowing down to truly hear, sense and determine the meaning of the words, feelings, and signs in YOUR life is a principle of Divine living.

How do YOU fall in love?

First, you need to define what YOU want to fall in love with. You need to determine what love is for YOU.

Is it a feeling, an act of grace, a sound of triumph, a person’s face? Like Corey in the movie Say Anything, hanging out with a small crowd at the party, playing the guitar, and singing, “That’ll never be me,” and, “Joe lies”. Denying the social aspects of the party, yet, content delivering her own message and brand of entertainment. The ones who got her hung around in their own momentary band of love.

How do YOU fall?

You have to display the soft underbelly of your vulnerable side; exposed and sensitive. It can be scary.

It can also be divine. It’s adoration-emoting energy waves are intoxicating to the senses. It feels divine because it is the same energy as the Divine, Pure Unconditional Love with No Limits. Falling in love doesn’t have to be scary, though. YOU can decide to fall in love with anything YOU want to. Love always feels good.

That’s the second Principle of Divine Living. Love needs to feel like love. No, YOU won’t always feel good when you do fall in love, but love itself always feels good. It’s separate and holds its own meaning.

What is Love?

Love is the same Essence of which YOU were born. It’s YOUR Divine nature.

When YOU do not feel good take a moment to look at your feelings, see the bigger message they’re trying to deliver. Don’t dissect every emotion you have, just the ones creating havoc in your life and wellbeing. YOU can’t break down old, negative patterns in your life without some new ones replacing them. Get in the driver’s seat and start programming the desired destination into your life path, towards love.

Remember, your natural state of being, “home base” is love. Venturing away from that station leaves you without the resources that go along with it.

Why should YOU fall in love?

I am willing to bet your desired path would involve feeling better, good, or divine.

In order to ever get to that place, it’s important that you focus on steering in that direction, rather than only focusing on the large, end goal in all its gory details. It’s stifling to the animal instinct in YOU because it’s too complex in its entirety. Martha Beck, Ph.D. advises “turtle steps.”

The animal nature in us responds best to slow, small steps in an intentional direction with plenty of rewards along the way.

Love is simple; a divine emotion. It’s the feeling-energy of the Divine expressing through YOU.

That’s what your soul is and what YOU are eternally being pulled toward. If you deny it, wrestle against it, effort your will alone, YOU will become exhausted. Your soul charges up by love power. Be like WALL-E holding his solar panel to the sun to charge each morning. You can charge your battery in many ways, depending on your situation.

A walk out in nature is a good start. Use it to reconnect with what is natural, wild, and divine like your true nature.

Quickie Quiz:

To understand the importance of the principle of slowing down, take a moment to complete the following experiential quiz…

Imagine a lion, or your favorite wild or tame animal, completing the tasks of YOUR daily routine. I can’t help but giggle as a picture a lioness running around multitasking with her golden crown on (like in the cartoons). The absurdity of it for the animal kingdom is painfully obvious. So, why is it considered virtuous in our modern cultural norm?

Now, imagine your animal resting peacefully in their natural state. Can YOU feel, did YOU feel, the difference between the two scenarios? How did your energy shift? Which one felt right, good, or made sense to YOU?

There are many ways to shift back into love.

You can find someone, some plant or animal, some emotion, some-thing like a sunrise to pick and fall in love with. Remember, you’re only going for the emotion here, not uprooting your lifestyle. Slow down, remember? One step at a time. It’s easy. And, it’s enough.

For me, I have to find something that cannot have its opposite in pain, grief or hate. It has to be pure. The only something I know with that quality is the something that is Divine: God.

You can define God in whatever way feels pure and loving to YOU. Buddha, Jesus, Spiritualism, Judaism, Native American practices, or your female intuition; whatever. If you only believe in science, or yourself, or even nothing at all, believe with love for all and a greater understanding of life, and you’ll feel your path begin to unfold beneath your feet.

Speaking of paths, nature is my second-best choice in the running for something easy to love. From its tenacity, power, and endurance to the intelligent design, the flow of natural chaos and return to order, its ability to sustain life and take it away. It’s stunning and overflowing with abundance for our care and use.

In honor of Earth Day, make a pact with yourself to get outside and return to nature, even for a moment.

How can you know when YOU are in love?

No one can accurately describe the feeling of love for YOU! It feels like a Connection to the greater part of YOU, a divine feeling of high energy, a feeling of Presence of something that wasn’t there before, a greater Knowing of who YOU are.

YOU feel an assistance with the daily events of life, a feeling of completeness and oneness with all humanity, plants, and animals; a curious nature envelopes your “sense of being” in place of wanting or needing to be right. It’s fun, adventurous, and dynamic!

And, it’s divine!

EXTRA LOVE CREDIT:  Take the feeling of love into ALL of your life’s interactions. Turn your attention span, like tuning a radio station dial, to Knowing Divine Love Exists For Me Here & Now. That’s your station to “dial in” to let the “music”, or feeling/vibration, take you away mentally from what you want to tune out.

Get it? Good. So, go do it.

NOW.

I dare YOU!

Today’s Love Song:  Run to YOU

Run to You

Lea Michele

The city sky’s feeling dark tonight
We’re back to back with our heads down
Just look at me, give me more tonight
Just give me more of your love now

Let’s set fire to the lonely night
You’re beautiful when you look at me
Let’s give love another life

Cause you’ll be safe in these arms of mine
Just call my name on the edge of the night
And I’ll run to you, I’ll run to you

I would run to you, if you want me to
Just give me some kind of reason
I’ll take the pain, take it all away
Just give it some kind of meaning

Let’s let go, let it be the start
You know I’m feeling the same thing
Let’s let go of our broken hearts

Cause you’ll be safe in these arms of mine
Just call my name on the edge of the night
And I’ll run to you, I’ll run to you

Even if it’s gonna break me, love
Gonna make my way to you
Anyway it’s gonna take me, love
I run to you
I run to you
Run, run

Cause you’ll be safe in these arms of mine
Just call my name on the edge of the night
And I’ll run to you
I’ll run to you

Even if it’s gonna break me, love
I run to you
